The search engine giant Google released its next-generation Pixel smartphone in early August of this year. The company confirmed two things: First, the Pixel 6 series will use a new custom-designed Google Tensor chip, and second, there will be two variants: the standard Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Everyone hopes to launch in October. As expected earlier this week, Google officially announced the release date of the Pixel 6 series. The company will hold an online event on October 19 to launch it.

Until last year, Google was not so serious about its smartphone business. Although the company paid much attention to the cameras on Pixel devices, they never achieved the success they deserved. This may be due to poor design, outdated hardware, or faulty display. But hope that the Pixel 6 series will change. When I first heard that Google was designing a custom chip for the Pixel series. I immediately thought that Google finally had more interest in its smartphone business.

This is not just a new chip, but the 6 series has been redesigned according to the teased rendering pixels. Looking at the rendering, the device looks very advanced. Due to the perforated display, there is almost no bezel on the front. On the back panel, we will get a completely redesigned camera array. Both Pixel 6 and 6 Pro have a black rectangular camera setup on the rear panel. It looks completely unique and interesting.

According to the confirmed specifications, Pixel 6 will be equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED 90Hz display, and Pixel 6 Pro will be equipped with a 6.71-inch AMOLED 120Hz display. The display will have an adaptive refresh rate to save battery power as much as possible. As I mentioned above, the smartphone will be equipped with a brand new Google Tensor chip under the hood. Google Tensor is built on 5nm process. The chip will compete with other flagship chips such as Exynos 2100, Snapdragon 888 and Dimensity 1200.

In terms of optics, the vanilla Pixel 6 will be equipped with a 50MP main shooter and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Pro variant will get an additional 48MP telephoto lens capable of 4x optical zoom. We have all seen the magic of Pixel cameras using only one sensor. Now with the Pixel 6 series, Google will go all out. The addition of an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens will make the Pro variant the best camera smartphone on the market.

In order to provide all the required power for these devices, Pixel 6 will be equipped with a 4614mAh battery, and 6 Pro will be equipped with a large 5000mAh battery. Of course, the device will support 33W charging. In terms of wireless charging, these devices may support 23W charging. Google will also launch Pixel Stand 2 with Pixel 6 series smartphones. Of course, these devices will not be cheaper, because the price of the Pro variant may be around $1,000. What are your expectations for the Pixel 6 series? Leave a comment and let us know.
